The American Academy of Pain Management's
Annual Clinical Meeting provides the highest quality scientific
and clinical information for its attendees. We welcome your Presentation
Abstract submission to become a speaker at our 2010 Annual Clinical
Meeting.
Please fill out the 2010 Presentation Abstract Proposal form (this form must be
saved to your computer before you begin) in its entirety
and email to Debra Nelson-Hogan at aapmedu@aapainmanage.org no later than Janurary 19th, 2010. Late submittals will be reviewed for future consideration. Only fully completed abstracts will be considered by the Education Planning Committee.
Speaker Responsibilities and Guidelines
I understand that if my presentation is accepted I will abide by the following standards:
1. I must complete all aspects of the Speaker Packet within 30 days of receipt, or my presentation will not be included in the agenda.
2. All presentations are 50 minutes long unless otherwise noted.
3. All presentations must be submitted in PowerPoint® format.
4. All handouts will be published on the Academy website 3 weeks before the meeting and attendees will be invited to download them. The Academy does not print paper handouts. Presenters are responsible for securing all copyright permissions if they are using published materials (eg, cartoons, images, charts, or graphs).
5. I will e-mail the completed form to Katie Arseniadis, Education Project Manager, at aapmedu@aapainmanage.org.
Scientific Integrity and Content Review:
1. I will reference all evidence to support the content of my presentation.
2. I understand that my presentation will be peer-reviewed for scientific integrity and that any changes to the presentation must be approved by the Education Advisory Committee.
Disclosure Information
1. I will disclosure ALL industry financing or income, conflict of interest, and off-label uses.
2. I will present a commercial-free presentation. If conflict or commercial bias is identified by the reviewers, I will revise my presentation as necessary or it will be removed from the agenda.
Compensation
1. I will receive a waiver of the meeting registration fee as my compensation for presenting unless otherwise arranged with the Academy.
2. I may not solicit nor accept travel expenses from a commercial entity.
Accreditation
The American Academy of Pain Management is accredited by the American Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide AMA Category 1 PRA Credit™. All presenters must comply with ACCME Standards and Policies for CME.
