Pain Psychologist - Gundersen Lutheran Health System Gundersen Lutheran Health System seeks a full time clinical psychologist with a specialty in pain psychology within the Neuroscience Center at our main campus in
La Crosse, Wisconsin. The qualified candidate will join an established team of four full time psychologists providing comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological services within the fully integrated Neurosciences Center. The pain psychologists work closely with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Pain Medicine Services. The qualified applicant must hold a doctoral degree from and APA accredited institution, be licensed or license eligible in the state of Wisconsin, have experience in the evaluation and treatment of persons with chronic pain, including biofeedback and group treatment. A substantial portion of clinical activity is devoted to pre-surgical evaluations, assessment for appropriateness of long-term opioid therapy, and pre-surgical evaluations to determine candidacy for implantation of spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps. Experience in substance use disorder, neuropsychological assessment and/ or rehabilitation psychology would make the individual a particularly strong candidate.
