Pain Medicine Opportunity in Mpls, MN at Abbott Northwestern We are seeking an experienced, board certified Anesthesiologist or Physician Medicine & Rehabilitation physician with experience and interest in interventional procedures and pain evaluation and management.
Our team diagnoses and treats all types of pain on an inpatient basis, but this position will involved mostly post-operative and chronic spine.
2-5 new consults per day in the hospital.
Part-time practice (.4 FTE), including every other weekend. Some weekday work.
Inpatient only.
Call is very light (mostly telephonic).
A well-established electronic medical record system is utilized.

The Center is located in Encino, California and occupies the first floor of a well known medical building, its looks out onto a courtyard with fountains and multiple small patios in which individuals can visit. The Center is warm, appealing, welcoming, and has areas which flow into one another, yet still allow for privacy in medical treatment, cognitive behavioral as well as a full gym with an aquatic therapy pool on premises.
The team is comprised of medical consultants, psychologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, aquatic therapists, acupuncture, biofeedback, nutritionist, marriage family child counseling, massage therapist.
Care Center Rehabiltation and Pain management is seeking an innovative leader to serve as Medical Director. The ideal candidate will be less focused on interventional pain solutions and more on the bio-psycho-social rehabilitation- functional restoration and collaborating with the treatment team. They will have to ability to direct the team in assisting a patient regain their life thru learning self management treatment. At the beginning point the position is not full time, although with the projected business plan this will evole quickly to full time as additional centers are opened. Plans of multiple centers require more than just one person at the helm; it is time to share the business and clinical responsibilities. Qualifications include a Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathy, and Board Certification with an added qualification in Pain Management. Must have a current unrestricted DEA License. The ideal individual would have completion of accreditation in a 1-year Pain Fellowship program or 2 years of clinical practice in pain medicine. Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year working with substance abuse patients. As the program stresses Functional, physical medicine & rehabilitation (PMR) with focus on restoring mood, physical functioning, and helping patients live with residual pain would be a plus. Presentation and/or marketing skills are a plus. Will also consider a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practioner
